The US won’t adopt it unless you can prove it increases revenue, but for those that already make money today from traffic. Parking lots, toll roads, Uber/lyft, automobile manufacturers, etc

Bike lanes! I'm Dutch I know how to read a bicycle but the first time renting one in London got me terrified.
