Using AI to develop software while being Anti-AI

Hey yall, so I've kinda started understanding why people tend to hate on AI, I found myself in a situation where I would stop thinking myself, I stopped evaluating whether my issue could be fixed by just using my damn brain. So I just wanted to stop for a few months, just see what will happen. Tho my biggest issue now: I am a Full-Stack Dev and of course I could again write my code 100% myself, tho using Tools like Claude for writing pipelines tests or even features you are to lazy to do yourself is pretty cool, cant lie about that one. Now I'm asking myself the ethical question whether its fine using AI in that field because I still "boycott"/stop using AI in other fields.. What are yalls thoughts on this one?

I won't let AI drive development until it is 99.999% flawless. The reason is that's the point where I can actually forget everything I've learned without worrying about it. Until then I drive, AI is on the side helping me unblock and doing anything repetitive.

Of course, it depends on use cases, and for some things like small FE landing pages, I think it's perfectly fine to delegate and forget.

If making software with AI makes you happy then have at it, if it doesn't then don't.

If you hate AI and that makes you happy, again, great.

Just don't blindly follow either side of the parroting extreme voices (extreme "ai-pilled" and "doomerist anti-ai") just because they are the loudest voices.

Likely chances are, both of them have a (paid) agenda to push to influence you.
